Plain-language change summary

The bill SB 1002 has changed its focus from appropriating funds to the "livestock loss board" to directing those funds to the "livestock compensation fund." This change means that rather than addressing livestock losses through a specific board, the bill now aims to provide financial support to farmers and ranchers impacted by livestock losses through a compensation fund. This shift is significant because it can streamline the financial assistance process and ensure that affected livestock owners receive support more directly.
