Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to Senate Bill 1014 now specify that prescriptions for eyeglasses (ophthalmic lenses) will be valid for two years unless the prescribing optometrist or physician decides otherwise based on the patient's age or health condition. This amendment allows for greater flexibility and consideration of individual patient needs, which can lead to better eye care tailored to specific medical situations. Overall, the update emphasizes the importance of personalizing prescriptions in accordance with patients' unique circumstances.
