Plain-language change summary

The updated version of HB 2438 includes the Board of Massage Therapy in the list of agencies defined under section 41-619.51. This change signifies that the Board of Massage Therapy will now have similar oversight and regulatory requirements as other professional boards in Arizona. This matters because it enhances the accountability and standardization of practices among massage therapists, potentially increasing public trust and safety in the profession. Additionally, it removes a requirement for specific information to be searchable on the Board’s public website, which could affect transparency regarding licensees’ disciplinary actions.
