Plain-language change summary

The amendment to HB 2170 clarifies the requirement for third-party election mailings by emphasizing that any envelope or digital message must state "NOT FROM A GOVERNMENT AGENCY" in bold and legible print. This change is important because it helps prevent confusion among voters about the source of election-related documents, ensuring they understand whether the information is officially from election authorities or from private parties. This transparency aims to increase voter confidence in the electoral process.
