Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to House Bill 148 involves a complete revision of its title and committee references. It now specifies that the bill is introduced by the House, rather than just noting the committee's sponsorship. This change is important because it clarifies the bill's origin and potentially broadens its support, making it clear that it will be discussed in both the Labor and Commerce and Finance committees. This adjustment could help ensure that more stakeholders are involved in the legislative process.
