What changed in the latest version

The most significant change to Bill HB 30 is that the requirement for the commissioner to prepare a procurement report has shifted from every two years (biennially) to once a year (annually). This modification means that the legislature will receive updates more frequently on how agencies are acquiring goods and services, which can lead to increased transparency and accountability in state spending. By ensuring these reports are produced annually rather than biennially, lawmakers and the public will be better informed about procurement activities and potentially identify trends or issues more promptly.
