The latest version of SB 1295 has added details about how funds for advanced placement courses are to be used. Specifically, it clarifies that money will help schools develop and support such courses, including paying for teacher training and instructional materials. This matters because it aims to ensure that schools have adequate resources to improve access to advanced placement programs, which can enhance students' educational outcomes and future opportunities. Additionally, the bill ensures that these funds are meant to add to existing resources rather than replace them.
