The latest version of SB 1400 adds clarity on how high school students can earn elective credits through organized sports and learning opportunities. Changes include specifying that students can receive one elective credit per year with parental permission and broadening the definition of organized sports. This matters because it provides students with more flexible options to earn credits, which can be particularly beneficial for those involved in extracurricular activities or alternative learning experiences.
