Plain-language change summary

In the updated version of SB 1559, the language has been clarified regarding who may claim benefits related to tax settlements for Native American veterans. Notably, the term "surviving spouse" was added, allowing individuals who are the deceased veterans' spouses or representatives to access these benefits. This change is significant because it broadens the eligibility for tax relief, ensuring that the families of veterans can benefit from the provisions even after the veteran has passed away.
