"Section 1.
Section 1.

department of economic security;
review The sum of $5,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2021-2022 to the housing trust fund established by section 41-3955, Arizona Revised Statutes.
home and community-based services;
The Arizona department of housing shall use the monies appropriated by this section to award grants pursuant to title 41, chapter 24, Arizona Revised Statutes, for mortgage down payment assistance, services for homeless youth and families and emergency shelter beds.

B.
The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
C.
The legislature intends that the appropriation made in subsection A of this section be considered ongoing funding in future years.
