Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill SB 1013 simplify the license renewal process by allowing licensees to request an extension for completing continuing education requirements when submitting their renewal application. Previously, they needed to provide a written affidavit, but now only a written request for an extension is necessary. This change is important as it aims to reduce paperwork and potential barriers for licensees, making it easier for them to maintain their licenses and continue their professional practice. Additionally, the penalties for failing to notify the board of new practice locations were maintained, emphasizing compliance and communication with the board.
