Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to House Bill 2811 clarifies the prohibition on same-day voter registration by emphasizing that only individuals who follow existing registration procedures can be eligible to vote on election day. It outlines that any agency, department, or person acting on behalf of the state is not allowed to register someone on election day. The penalties for violating this rule remain the same, continuing to classify infractions as a class 6 felony.
