The proposed amendments to HB 2396 reduce the appropriation for the Cornfields low-water crossing improvement project from $532,700 to $300,000. This change is important because it suggests a decrease in funding for the project, potentially impacting the ability to improve this critical infrastructure. Lower funding might delay or limit the extent of the planned improvements, which could affect safety and accessibility for the local community.
