Plain-language change summary

The updated version of SB 1156 reduces the state funding for the reconstruction of Interstate 10 from $40 million to $15 million. This change is significant because it reflects a shift towards a more conservative financial commitment from the state, while still maintaining the requirement that federal and other funding sources cover at least half of the project's costs. By lowering the appropriation amount, the bill aims to ensure responsible use of state funds, especially as budget considerations become a priority.
