Plain-language change summary

The changes to SB 1373 involve clarifying requirements for obtaining a permit for automated prescription-dispensing kiosks. The updated version specifies that each kiosk requires a separate permit application and mandates an agreement between the kiosk operator and the property tenant where the kiosk will be placed. It also ensures that each prescription dispensed includes a unique prescription number linked to the responsible pharmacy. These changes are important because they enhance accountability and oversight for automated kiosks, ensuring that prescriptions are managed safely and effectively.
