Plain-language change summary

The proposed amendment to House Bill 2799 reduces the funding amount from $2.5 million to $1.5 million. This change is significant as it indicates a lower level of financial support for the department of economic security, which could impact services provided to area agencies on aging. By adjusting the appropriation, lawmakers may be responding to budget considerations or prioritizing other funding needs.
