Plain-language change summary

The amendments made to House Bill 2759 changed the focus from providing funding for a family health pilot program to establishing a statewide information and referral service for health care and other community services. This shift directs the $2.5 million appropriation toward helping families access various assistance programs rather than specifically for health services. This change matters because it broadens the scope of support for families in need, potentially improving access to essential services beyond just health care.
