What changed in the latest version
59 added · 56 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of HB 2205 removes specific language that allowed members of a governing board to be candidates for other positions if they were in the final year of their term. Additionally, it clarifies that educators from satellite campuses cannot seek elected positions on the joint technical education district's governing board, though they can still be appointed. These changes aim to ensure that the governing board remains independent and focused on its duties without conflicting interests from other positions held by members.
