Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to SB 1411 requires the Department of Education to compile an annual achievement profile for public schools and local education agencies by November 1 each year. This profile will include an educational dashboard that reflects various performance indicators. Importantly, schools that fail to submit the necessary data will not be eligible for funding based on their achievement profile. This change emphasizes accountability and aims to ensure that schools are transparent about their academic performance, potentially impacting their funding and classification.
