Plain-language change summary

The amendments to House Bill 2490 raise the monetary threshold for contracts that can be exempt from certain licensure requirements. Previously, contracts worth up to $500 per transaction and a total of $6,000 per year were included; now, the annual limit has been increased to $6,000 per year between two parties and total profits of $250,000 per year for one party. This change is significant because it allows for larger contracts to avoid licensure, which could benefit small businesses by reducing regulatory burdens while still ensuring that health professions remain regulated.
