Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Bill SB 1202 includes changes to the requirements for the installation and operation of vapor recovery systems at gas stations. Specifically, it clarifies the process and sets standards for the decommissioning of stage II vapor recovery systems, along with maintaining certain testing requirements for stage I systems. This is important because it aims to improve environmental safety by ensuring that outdated systems are phased out and that gas stations comply with updated regulations, ultimately reducing potential pollution from gasoline spillage.
