Plain-language change summary

The latest version of Senate Bill 44, now called CSSB 44(HSS), has made some important changes to its membership requirements for the board overseeing naturopathic practice. Previously, the board included one public member, two naturopaths, one pharmacist, and one medical doctor, but the new version has shifted the composition to include two public members and three naturopaths. This change is significant because it increases representation from naturopaths, reflecting a broader focus on their perspectives in board decisions. Additionally, the new version clarifies some requirements for naturopaths seeking licensure, ensuring that those without unresolved disciplinary actions and specific criminal convictions can practice safely.
