Plain-language change summary

The revised bill, HB 330, removes references to "prisoner communication reimbursement rates" and now focuses solely on regulations regarding electronic devices used by prisoners. This change simplifies the bill's scope, making it clearer and more direct in addressing the use and possession of electronic devices in correctional facilities. By eliminating the reimbursement aspect, lawmakers can prioritize the management of electronic device policies without additional financial considerations. This matters because it helps ensure that the focus remains on maintaining order and discipline within prisons.
