What changed in the latest version
19 added · 20 removedPlain-language change summary
The amended version of HB 183 removes references to postsecondary institutions, meaning that the bill now only applies to public schools and private schools that compete against them. This change focuses the legislation specifically on K-12 education rather than higher education. The impact of this amendment could ensure that the legislation is more easily enforceable within the K-12 system, highlighting the intent to manage athletic team designations and reporting violations in a clearer context.
