Plain-language change summary

In the latest version of Bill SB 7, the Department of Public Safety is now required to publish specific policies and procedures on its website, including information about both peace officers and village public safety officers. However, the department is excluded from publishing information if it would compromise law enforcement investigations or reveal confidential techniques. This change is important because it aims to increase transparency and public access to information while ensuring that sensitive law enforcement operations are still protected.
