Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Bill SB 71 adds new language that establishes the Alaska arts and cultural investment fund while streamlining the process for special request registration plates celebrating the arts. It specifies that an additional fee for these plates will not exceed $50 and can be waived for a good cause, giving more flexibility. This change is important because it aims to support the arts in Alaska by providing funding and making it easier for residents to celebrate local culture through their vehicle registration plates.
