Plain-language change summary

The amended version of Bill HB 30 introduces a new requirement for employers to provide written notice to employees about workers' compensation death benefits at the time of hiring. This notice must explain the types of compensation available and specifically outline what is available in cases where an employee dies without leaving behind a spouse or child. This change is significant because it aims to ensure that employees are fully informed about their rights and benefits, especially in tragic situations, promoting clarity and transparency in workers' compensation processes.
