The revised bill, SB 38, has made a significant change by removing the requirement for applicants to complete a two-year externship and to pass a pharmaceutical examination to qualify for a temporary license to practice naturopathy. Instead, the focus is now on ensuring that applicants meet other qualifications, such as not having unresolved disciplinary actions or criminal convictions that would affect their ability to practice. This change could make it easier and faster for qualified individuals to begin practicing naturopathy, potentially increasing access to alternative health care options for patients.
