Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill SB 86 simplifies the criteria for issuing temporary licenses, permits, or certificates to individuals with valid credentials from other jurisdictions. Notably, the term "substantially equivalent" was removed, meaning that any corresponding valid license from another area can qualify for a temporary license in this state. Additionally, the amendment specifies that spouses of active duty military members can receive their temporary licenses more efficiently, within just 10 business days. These changes aim to make it easier for qualified professionals to work in the state and to support military families who may need to relocate frequently.
