Plain-language change summary

The latest version of Bill HB 189 has changed the income brackets and corresponding tax amounts for individuals earning from self-employment. The income thresholds were lowered, and the tax amounts are now reduced as well; for example, those earning less than $20,000 will pay $50 instead of $25. This matters because it provides more financial relief to lower-income self-employed individuals, potentially easing their economic burden.
