Plain-language change summary

The updated version of HB 306 extends the termination date of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board from 2022 to June 30, 2027, allowing the board to continue functioning for an additional five years. It also creates an exemption from a state law that generally limits the reestablishment of boards or commissions, which is important for the ongoing regulation of alcohol sales in Alaska. This change ensures that both the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board and the Board of Pharmacy remain operational and can effectively oversee their respective industries.
