Plain-language change summary

The revised version of SB 76 makes several key changes, most importantly extending certain deadlines and transitional provisions by one year. For example, appeals related to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Commission that were pending before a specific date are now applicable until December 1, 2020, instead of December 1, 2019. This matters because it gives individuals more time to navigate the appeals process, ensuring they have the opportunity to seek justice and receive the benefits they may be entitled to under the Workers’ Compensation system. Additionally, the act highlights the procedures for transferring existing cases to the superior court in a clear manner.
