The revised version of SB 92 maintains the ability for applicants to direct part of their permanent fund dividends to the general fund but eliminates the specific section dedicated solely to these contributions. Instead, it integrates this option into a broader context within the existing structure of contributions to various funds. This change streamlines the application process and consolidates the options available to applicants, which could make it easier and more efficient for them to donate their dividends while ensuring that funding allocations remain clear. The impact of this change is that it simplifies the process for donors while maintaining necessary oversight and administration guidelines.
