What changed in the latest version
4 added · 4 removedPlain-language change summary
The amended version of SB 75 lowers the minimum age for operating a commercial vehicle in intrastate commerce from 19 to 18 years. Additionally, it includes provisions that allow individuals aged 18 to under 21 to drive commercial vehicles in interstate commerce if they meet specific federal requirements. This change broadens opportunities for younger drivers to enter the commercial driving workforce, which may help address labor shortages in the trucking industry.
