What changed in the latest version
4 added · 4 removedPlain-language change summary
The key change in the revised version of HB 102 is that it now specifies that a school board or an academic policy committee of a charter school must submit a request for a limited teacher certificate. This addition broadens the scope of who can make that request, enhancing flexibility for hiring teachers who can instruct in languages other than English. This matters because it allows more educational institutions to adapt to diverse student needs by potentially bringing in teachers with specialized language skills and expertise.
