Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to SB 108 include the addition of sections that clarify the roles and responsibilities of medical professionals regarding delegation of tasks and certification requirements for medical assistants. Specifically, the bill now allows qualified physicians and physician assistants to delegate routine duties to trained agents, while ensuring that responsibilities related to pain management cannot be delegated. These changes help streamline the healthcare process and are significant because they aim to improve efficiency and ensure that medical support staff are properly qualified, thereby enhancing patient care.
