The updated version of Bill SB 154 introduces a requirement for the Alaska permanent fund dividend application to include an option for applicants to donate a portion of their dividend directly to the state general fund. Contributions must be at least $25 and can be made in increments of $25, with the total not exceeding the amount of the dividend. This is significant because it provides a new mechanism for residents to support state funding directly through their dividends while making clear that a percentage of these contributions will be used for administrative costs.
