What changed in the latest version
6 added · 6 removedPlain-language change summary
The latest version of SB 55 changed several key components related to various aspects of criminal law and procedure. Notably, it removed language that adjusted the classification of issuing a bad check based on inflation. Additionally, the bill now mandates law enforcement agencies to conduct an inventory and provide reports on untested sexual assault examination kits, which could improve the handling of such sensitive cases. These changes are significant because they aim to modernize the legal framework and enhance accountability and support for victims of crime.
