The amendment to Bill HB 7 clarifies the language related to political activities around polling places but does not change the substance of the restrictions. It reiterates the ban on persuading voters or showing marked ballots within 200 feet of polling locations. This is important because maintaining clear guidelines helps ensure that voters can cast their votes free from pressure and intimidation during elections.
