The latest version of Bill HB 91 introduces new registration fees for individuals and entities filing reports with the Alaska Public Offices Commission. Specifically, it establishes an annual administrative fee of $100 for most filers, while candidates will pay a similar fee upon filing their campaign treasurer's information. Additionally, it updates the fee structure for lobbyists based on contract values, changing it from a simpler tiered fee system to one that reflects a broader range of contract values. These changes are significant because they aim to enhance transparency and accountability for those involved in public office, ensuring that individuals and organizations comply with reporting requirements.
