Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Bill A 3390 modifies the text regarding the data that the Division of Consumer Affairs will be responsible for maintaining, specifically focusing on examination rates without referring to the average response time for complaints. Additionally, it changes the effective date from “the first day of the ninth month” to “the first day of the eighteenth month next following enactment.” These changes impact how the Division of Consumer Affairs will report on its activities and set a later timeline for when the bill's provisions will take effect.
