The bill has been amended to focus specifically on allowing retired school business administrators to be reemployed by school districts for periods longer than two years, rather than including retired school superintendents, administrators, and nurses. This change means that retired school business administrators can return to work in their roles beyond the previous two-year limit without requiring special approval, potentially addressing staffing needs in the school districts. Additionally, it updates the provisions related to the cancellation, reenrollment, and retirement allowances for former members of the Teachers’ Pension and Annuity Fund who take these positions.
