ENROLLED ORIGINAL AN ACT _______________ IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA _________________________ To require, on a temporary basis, the Metropolitan Police Department to provide a written report every 2 pay periods on its overtime pay spending to the Council, and to require those reports to include the amount spent year-to-date on overtime pay and describe the staffing plan and conditions justifying the overtime pay.
report to the Council in writing within 14 calendar days of expending more than 5% above the amount allocated to MPD for overtime pay in the approved budget of a fiscal year.
Upon providing notice of the overage pursuant to subsection (a) of this section and beginning on the first of the following month, MPD shall provide the Council in writing a ENGROSSED ORIGINAL monthly report on MPD’s overtime spending until the end of the fiscal year in which MPD incurred the overage.
(c) The reports required by subsections (a) and (b) of this section, shall include a description of the staffing plan and conditions justifying the overtime pay.
