The updated bill postpones the deadline for students to be vaccinated against COVID-19 from the school year 2022-2023 to the school year 2023-2024. This change is important because it gives families additional time to ensure their children receive the vaccine without jeopardizing their school attendance. The amendment reflects the ongoing health and safety considerations surrounding the pandemic and acknowledges the challenges some families may face in meeting vaccination requirements.
