Plain-language change summary

The revised version of SB 2184 clarifies that if a false allegation of harm is made against a parent, they are entitled to additional parenting time unless there is clear and convincing evidence against it. The changes also specify that courts should prioritize the proposed parenting time schedule from the parent responding to the false allegation. These adjustments are important because they ensure that parents wrongfully accused of harm can more easily regain time with their children and helps reduce the emotional impact of false claims.
