The updated version of Bill SB 2180 changes the requirements for public comment during meetings of public entities in North Dakota. Instead of only needing to offer public comment at a quarter of their regular meetings each year, now every regular meeting must allow for public comments from attendees. This change ensures that community members have a consistent opportunity to voice their opinions and concerns, promoting greater public engagement in local governance. Additionally, the revised bill specifies that the individual's address will be kept confidential, addressing privacy concerns while still requiring identification.
