The proposed amendment to Bill B25-1067 makes two key changes. First, it expands the membership of the Police Complaints Board, which can help ensure a wider range of perspectives in reviewing police misconduct. Second, it allows the Executive Director of the Office of Police Complaints to start their own investigations if they find evidence of police misuse that wasn't included in an initial complaint. These changes aim to enhance accountability within the police force and better protect citizens' rights.
