The bill SB 320 has been updated to clarify that law enforcement agencies must collect fingerprints and DNA from any illegal alien in their custody before releasing them. This change is important as it emphasizes the requirement for these samples to be submitted for cataloging, which could assist in tracking and managing individuals within the legal system. The previous version included additional constitutional considerations regarding funding which have been removed, simplifying the bill's focus on law enforcement procedures.
