The updated Bill SB 146 makes a small change regarding the renewal of business licenses in Lauderdale County by specifying a mail fee for the renewal process. This means that businesses will now likely be charged a fee to renew their licenses by mail, which could simplify the renewal process for those who prefer not to go in person. This change matters because it provides clarity on the costs associated with renewing business licenses and may encourage more businesses to utilize mail renewals.
