What changed in the latest version
100 added · 84 removedPlain-language change summary
The amended bill now allows individuals who are 75 years of age or older to be excused from jury service and permits them to request a permanent exemption. This is a change from the original version, which proposed that individuals aged 70 and older could qualify for these exemptions. This matters because it recognizes that older adults may have different needs and challenges, making it easier for them to avoid the demands of jury duty if they choose to do so.
